The holidays provide time to create new family traditions and to revisit old ones. As a child. I fondly remember playing with my family’s own Nativity set. I loved all the animals and the joyful expressions on Mary, Joseph and the wise men. Not long ago, I found the same exact creche I grew up with on EBay and now our daughter Zoe is enjoying it as I once did.
It’s hard to believe that Christmas is here already. For so many families the holiday season will never be the same. This year’s natural disasters and human induced tragedies have impacted many lives forever. Let’s all remember that Christmas is meant to bring ”Peace on earth, good will to men” and pray that it is so…

Beautiful Debra. I just posted on FB that Apple and her cousin put my extra virgin Mary’s together outside the Cresh with the extra baby jesus….so there is now a very modern, very Cambridge spin on an old tradition!!I also so appreaciate your nod to Christmas and the ct. events. You know, I took my ballet lessons when I was our girls age in Newton in the town hall. Merry Christmas in your new home!!
Kristen, I love the modern day Cresh…Many merry wishes for Christmas and the new year! xoxoxo
So sweet! Lila has played with our Nativity set as well nearly every day since I put it out. Every night she moves everyone (animals included) into the “little house”. It’s so cute, though she’s not going to be happy when I put it away this weekend!
Sounds like you’re all doing well in SF. Be sure to look us up next time you’re in NYC! Happy New Year!
Lori, I’m so happy to hear the Lila loves her Nativity set too! All is well here and I will for sure call next time we are in NYC. Best to you and your family!
