We just returned from Hawaii. It was our first visit, but certainly not our last. After surrendering to the island's atmosphere we totally got Hawaii's allure and plan to go back. The warm temperature and subtle humidity were a welcomed change for us even after a mild California winter.
We relaxed, snorkeled, visited a volcano, hiked to a 40 ft waterfall, delighted in the lush landscape, an thoroughly enjoyed a fabulous luau. It was both invigorating and informative. The kindness and hospitality of the Hawaiian people is infectious and makes us want more. Here are a few images from our recent stay on the Big Island:
