Life Lately

This post is a testament to how much goes on in our lives moment by moment.  With recent feelings of anxiety over what I haven’t yet accomplished, these photos attest that life lately has been filled with lots of the essentials:  family outings, friends' visits, old fashioned playtimes, new places, great drinks, productive projects, time alone with hubby and lots of milestones for our kids.

Balancing family, work and personal time can be challenging, but taking note of what happens along the way shouldn't be.  As in previous years when summer begins, I vow to slow down and smell the roses.  Will it really happen?  Stay tuned.

Moving Mode: Here And There

It's been nearly 8 months since our  move and things are gradually falling into place.  Items that once fit so nicely in our  Cambridge house have found a perfect placement in our California home.  Take a look at how it looked there and how it now looks here:

I think that a favorite part about decorating a space, whether it's for clients or for myself is utilizing what already exists and making it feel new again.

The Life Of Loki

It's been 2 weeks since we brought Loki home and we're all enjoying him immensely.  Our children love playing with Loki and are learning to care for him with daily walks, feedings and an occasional grooming (no bagging of poop yet).   I'm taking comfort in his company while the kids are in school and Alex, having grown up with 5 dogs [at one time] is relishing the canine companionship.  Take a look at the leisure life of Loki:
