The Family Tree

How sweet are these family trees from Famille Summerbelle, a French children's design company that creates delicate and playful prints of maps, trees and toy bags.  Below are a few of my favorite ones:

I really like the way this company uses color in a playful way.  I see these maps and trees hung not only in kids' spaces but in also in hallways, foyers and even kitchens.

Need to share just one more thing from Famille Summerbelle:  Kissing Birds Wallpaper.  I SO love it!  If the stripes in my children's room hadn't been repainted already,  that paper would be going up right now!   Would love to see it mixed with a colorful rug and bold bedding.  All of which, by the way,  I already own.  If the stripes get old,  those kissing birds will surely come flying in...

To Bunk Or Not To Bunk

To bunk or not to bunk?  I've been asking myself that question for a while now.  With 3 kids and little space it does seem to be the perfect solution. So I began searching for the perfect one.  Take a look at what I found.  And keep posted to find out what I decide to do.

Above,  the Austin bunk bed is available in different color combinations.  I'm loving the pink but I don't think my boys will.

The no nonsense design of the Norddal bunk makes it an easy to fit for any space.  When the kids start asking for their own room the beds can be divided into separate twin beds.

Nurseryworks Duet bunk bed had lots of cubbies to store trinkets, toys and blankets.  When you're ready to separate the bunks the cubbies become their own shelving unit.  I also like that the ladder is mounted flush with the bed, taking up no floor space.

The Uffizi bunk is made from sustainable wood and can covert to a loft bed with a youth desk underneath.

Originally, our master bed and bathroom renovation did not include the  kids' room but like with most projects, things do change.  Hence, the bunk search.  If all goes well and the floors dry by the weekend we can start moving back to our rooms.  I'll keep you posted on how we redecorate the children's area.
