So Pinteresting: 7 Stairway Walls

Decorating a stairway wall can be challenging.   The angle of the stairs, the height of the ceiling and the amount of traffic, ALL need to be considered when deciding how to use "up" the wall space.  While resereaching some ideas for a current CHD client with a large front entry stairwell,  I came across some great examples of spaces using mirrors, art and color to maximize this effect.  Take a look:

Are your stairways decorated?  If so, how?  Show us your favorite photos.

Next week:  a Cocoon project involving stairs gets underway.  Can't wait to share it with all of you!

So Pinteresting: 7 Of My Favorite Gold Accented Spaces

Whether in a grand estate or in a simpler home a touch of gold adds elegance and glamour to a space.  The rooms I found on Pinterest are not grandiose nor royal but rather unassuming and comfortable, yet with accents of gold these rooms take on an unexpected depth and interest.  Take a look at 7 of my favorite pins:

Which is one is your favorite?  Have you gone or would you go GOLD?

I added a touch of gold in our kids' room, but will sure be bolder in our next home, wherever may that be.

So Pinteresting: Cocoon

Recently, while on Pinterest,  I decided to do a search on the word 'Cocoon' to see what would come up.  I found many interesting interpretations of the word.  Often, the word is used to describe how objects may look to us, and sometimes,  the word becomes a symbol for the feelings it evokes in us.  From clothing, to spaces and sculptures the word 'Cocoon' translates into many images and concepts.  Take a look at what I found:
