Zoe's Bedroom Update
I recently added a few touches to Zoe's room to introduce a touch of glam and a bit of rustic flair. Now, a framed needlepoint horse found at Farmyard Darlings hangs perfectly above her bed and bubbled glass pulls update her closet doors. Take a look:

Quick Fix: Guest Bathroom Facelift
With gray cabinets, antiquated sinks, outdated tile and bland hardware our guest bathroom was in need of a quick fix. After whitewashing the green bathroom walls and grey cabinetry, I found inspiration in this colorful runner . It prompted me to do something a bit different and fun with the hardware. I decided not to coordinate the knobs but rather to replace them with different colors and patterns. Thanks to Anthropologie's amazing collection of hardware (and our helpful twins) the 18+ drawers and cabinets now sport a brand new look. The bathroom has gone from drab and outdated to bright and somewhat "current".
My parents arrive this Thursday for a visit. It will be the first time they'll see our new home, and our welcoming and updated guest bath. I think I'm becoming a convert to more colorful spaces...
Follow The Move: Zoe's Bedroom Reveal
In the (sort of) DIY Navajo bedspread post, I promised to show you the rest of Zoe's bedroom. Having shared a room with her twin brothers for almost 4 years, Zoe is finally in her very own space and loving every inch of it. I worried that she would be reluctant to sleep alone but she took to her own bedroom with unapologetic gusto. Repurposing her old bed and dresser, adding a vintage lamp find from the Alameda Flea market, and throwing in a few free spirited details (such as a crayon-friendly wall), Zoe's room now reflects her warm, creative and loving personality. Get Your Quilt On
With all the recent hoopla about quilts here and here, I thought I'd share recent pictures of little Zoe's bed. Using a quilt given to us as a wedding gift by Alex's grandparents (hand-stitched by Babushka), Zoe's room takes on a nostalgic yet very current look. Take a peek at a few of my favorite designs below:
Kantha quilts seem to be getting all the attention at the moment, but introducing any traditional quilts into modern settings can evoke feelings of nostalgia, warmth and coziness.
